Schedule a Trip – Headwaters Lakes Area Chapter

Welcome to our online scheduling system.

When you schedule a trip that is open, you will immediately be confirmed for that trip
The minimum number of people for each trip is 4 people, with a maximum of 10 (maximum of three wheelchairs)
You will be able to see and book partially-full trips – if one group books for eight people, you would be able to book the two remaining spots.
You will be able to view/print all of the trip information including your captain and first mate’s contact information
You will be able to view/print all of the trips that you have reserved for the year
You will receive an automatic email reminder 72 hours prior to each trip

Trip Information:

June 1 – September (Labor Day)
Tuesday / Thursday
(10:00am and 1:00pm)

LOCATION: Fishhook Lake, Long Lake & Mantrap Lake (Park Rapids); Belle Taine Lake (Nevis)

DIRECTIONS: You will receive confirmation and directions after you schedule a trip.

ARRIVAL TIME: Please arrive 20 minutes prior to your scheduled time ready to board.

CANCELLATION: Your captain will call you within 12 hours of your scheduled time to confirm outing details. In the event of bad weather, the client and the captain will decide if the trip will be cancelled. If for any other reason you are cancelling a trip, you must notify the captain and the scheduler.

How to Register Your Organization

Put in your contact information including email address
Click Submit
You will now be able to see the calendar – Anything in BLUE is OPEN
When you select a date, a window pops up and it should auto-flow your information.
Put in how many people- fishing or boating, wheelchairs (if any) and submit.
You will receive a confirmation email telling you your trip has been accepted.

How to Register as an Individual

Click Register
Scroll to the bottom and click on Register as an Individual —Make sure to check the box that says “I am not associated with a Group Home or Organization.”
Put in your contact information including email address
Click Submit
You will now be able to see the calendar – Anything in BLUE is OPEN
When you select a date, a window pops up and it should auto-flow your information.
Put in how many people- fishing or boating, wheelchairs (if any) and submit.
You will receive a confirmation email telling you your trip has been accepted.

Organizations must:

Download and bring a completed GUEST BOARDING PASS RELEASE OF LIABILITY & PHOTO APPROVAL form and
Download and bring a completed INSTITUTIONAL FREE FISHING AUTHORIZATION
1. which serves as the fishing license (or a valid MN Fishing License if they do not qualify for the Residents of State Institutions form) Please bring both forms #1 & #2 for you trip and deliver it to the Captain before the passengers start boarding the pontoon. Please be sure to bring this so that your trip is not delayed.
FISHING LICENSES: If you indicate that you will have people fishing, they must have a Fishing License. If you do not qualify for #2 above, Click here for information on obtaining a license from the DNR website. If guests are from an adult day care facility, care facility, or residence, or under the age of 16 or over the age of 90, they DO NOT require a license in MN. Others DO REQUIRE a valid MN license.
